BELS Post 16 team were delighted to have worked in partnership with Lloyds Banking to deliver a T Level Thursday event as part of National Apprenticeship Week. It was the first ever T Level Thursday, so it is fantastic to have been able to mark the occasion.
IT and Computer Science students from Barnet and Southgate College and Saracens High School attended the session delivered by Lloyds Banking. The students had the opportunity to learn more about the wide range of careers and apprenticeships open to them having completed a Digital T Level. Subsequently the students took on the role of interviewers to learn more about the interview process, the types of questions asked and learnt about how to perform well at interview. Students engaged with the activities really well and grew in confidence throughout the session. Middlesex University also attended the event, and we are happy to have been working on progression routes for all T Level students with the university.
Femi Olufola, Assistant Principal “It was a great event for our students which provided a fantastic insight into digital careers and showcased apprenticeships as a post 18 pathway.”
Thank you to Barnet and Southgate College who hosted the Barnet T Level event and we look forward to further opportunities to collaborate across Barnet.
